Story

Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, a popular shoujo manga by the manga-ka Arina Tanemura, is a story based on the legend of Joan of Arc and her reincarnation, who is a girl named Maron.

Maron, a high school student living by herself, transforms into Jeanne, a kaitou (thief) who 'checkmates' (or seals) demons in paintings which possess people, and her sidekick, Fin Fish, an angel, are on a mission from Kami (God) to fight the Maou (the devil) and keep the world safe. However, soon Maron finds that she is not the only kaitou around when her rival, Sinbad, arrives on the scene with his sidekick Access Time.
